Quick cake baking question

I'm making Nigella's malteaser cake, but don't have 2 baking tins so am making it in one. My question is, how do I adjust the baking time/temp? The recipe says 25 mins at 170 (GM 3), how do I adjust this for making it in one big tin in a fan oven?

Thanks

The easiest way is to judge by when a toothpick (or knife) inserted in the middle, comes out clean. I do this for all my cakes, never bother with timings.

Ok, thanks. Should I up the temp a bit? Seems pretty low for a cake.

Use the same temperature, otherwise the top will burn before the middle is cooked.

What NQC said. Am liking sound of malteser cake, let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the advice. I kept it at the same temp, but it took and extra 15 mins or so (actually probably could have done with a bit less. Made the icing tonight, which tastes scrummy! Haven't tried the whole thing yet though as I am taking it to a party tonight. Smells great though!
