Can I freeze rice salad??

Well it's rice, cheese, and veggies and i've made too much. Can i freeze the rest down - I thought someone said that you can't freeze rice but that seems a bit strange.

You can if it's with a saucy type thing, I reckon, but in a salad with cheese, it will taste awful when defrosted.

It'll keep in the fridge for about 4 days though,
