What do you do with pork chops?

I've no gravy for tomorrow's Sunday lunch, which was going to be a roast but with chops rather than a joint. Now I'm abit stuck for something to do with them as I think they'll be a bit dry/boring without.

Anyone any suggestions?

& please don't say go get some gravy, I'm skint til payday

Grilling chops is crapola

I chuck 'em in a wok with some herbs and wine and simmer for an hour

Much more tasty and melt-in-the-mouth

Do you have stock cubes? Flour? Worcestershire sauce? Soy sauce?

If the answer's yes, you can make gravy

marinadr in some oil, lemon and sage - tenderises them and then puor juices over once cooked.

could even make a sage, onion and lemon butter

and cook them slowly . . .

mix olive oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, a little brown sugar or honey and pepper and salt together. Cover the chops wth this.

Roast in oven.

Have you got any honey and mustard? Mix them together and paint on chops and grill them.

If you havent got honey ,use jam or marmalade for variety.I'd serve it with Creamy mashed potato,no need for gravy then...

I usually get the thin ones and lightly fry some mushrooms, add the chops, continue till cooked, then add cream... bloody lovely..

We never even usually have gravy to be honest! We roughly chop (so a mixture of large and small pieces) apples (we use anything we have, not necessarily cooking apples!) and simmer gently with a small bit of sugar until it's like puree but still wiht some large chunks in. Pour over the chops when they're cooked and hey presto.

Some might say boring but quick, easy and cheap to make.

Cook them and give them to the dog.

The other week, in a fit of madness, H actually cooked for me. DD1 kept her faith in me as I silently slipped bits of lamb into our puppy (another hate).

I do the same as MumRum, but add some grainy mustard along with the cream. Delicious! Especially with mashed potato.

OMDB, I don't have soy sauce until my next shop but do have the others . . . not too sure how I'd do gravy with them though

NotDoingTheHousework, I'm not bothered about making the grill pan a mess, can easily be cleaned up (I clean it every time I grill meat to keep it shiny n new )

Pork Chops when roasted produce a lovely meaty natural gravy,if you add a little water to the dish after.

Some people like thick gravy,so you can blend a little cornflour or flour and add to the water.

MMmmmm.Makes me hungry now......

Pan fry them with a sauce of butter, marsala and a touch of cream. I am not a thin person.

I just said pan fry I am off to whip myself with a whisk, the shame of the ponceyness.
