spinach, chilli, ricotta (or with an egg cracked over it)

undercovercat · 18/09/2008 11:23

sweetcorn, mozzerella, mushroom, red onion and tomato.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 18/09/2008 11:24

Another favourite is a spicy bolognese sauce, loads of peppers and onions, folded into a calzone.

georgiemum · 18/09/2008 11:25

goats cheese and asparagus.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 18/09/2008 11:25

Can you tell I'm addicted to making pizzas at the moment?

I love my pizza stone.

georgiemum · 18/09/2008 11:26

ooh - where did you get your pizza stone? Do you get a nice crispy bottom with it?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 18/09/2008 11:28

I just bought a square of granite from a local stone merchant, you could get one from any diy shop.

The ones you buy in shops are £40 plus, mine cost me less than £10. It's brilliant.

throckenholt · 18/09/2008 11:29

I do ham, peppers, pepperoni, and sometimes bung leek on it too.

mistlethrush · 18/09/2008 11:32

If anyone wants a Pampered Chef pizza stone, I am going to be doing some fundraising for Cancer Research as part of Breast Cancer awareness month (October) - I could probably do a bit of a discount on the postage - if anyone's interested, I'll work it out...

We get lovely pizzas which are cooked all the way through and not soggy in the middle.

Ds (3.5) likes sausage, tomato, mushroom, sweetcorn and cheese.
My favourite at the moment includes artichoke hearts as I got a huge jar from Costco and they taste great on vege pizzas.

ChopsTheDuck · 18/09/2008 11:39

debehams do a pizza stone for £15 with a wire stand so that you can put the stone on the dinner table. Thats where I got mine.

I love some of your ideas dwp!

cremolafoam · 18/09/2008 11:40

melted onions as a base( not tomato sauce),anchovies crumbled goats cheese olives

NorbertDentressangle · 18/09/2008 11:45

I'm veggie so:

mozerella, mushrooms, onions, peppers, olives and capers

A posh pizza takeaway near us does a lovely one with artichokes, asparagus and courgettes on and also one with pine nuts added.

georgiemum · 18/09/2008 11:52

Don't use low fat mozarella - it seems to be full of water and makes it all squishy.

I had one in a pizza place with avocado on it. Can't recommend it though!

Mung · 18/09/2008 21:10

devilwearsprimark - when you say chilli, do you mean chilli con carne or just the little spicy things? Chilli and pineapple sounds interesting...

Overmydeadbody · 19/09/2008 11:29

When I make pizzas I let everyone put their own toppings on individual ones, from a selection of:

any cold meats but usually peperroni or salami

olives

chillies

thinly sliced onions

sliced garlic

anchovies

pineapple

peppers

mushrooms

left over bolognese or mince

left over chicken

spinach

egg (cracked on top of pizza raw)

capers

pine nuts
