bread and butter pudding?

can you use crusts, cos i have loads

and my delia mentions cream, but i dont have cream. anyone got a simple recipe.

yes, just as good with the crusts, you can use milk instead of cream.

it's better with crust because they don't go so mushy.

I think it's 1 egg to half a pint of milk. Layer bread & butter, dried fruit and a sprinkle of sugar. pour on eggy milk and cook for about 20-30 mins. But that is from memory

For a gingery version slice up a bought ginger cake, spread with marmalade and pour over eggy milk. When baked it turns into a lovely sort of moussey orangey thing, divine with icecream.

A genius friend of mine at university used to serve it with a sauce made from Mars Bars microwaved until they were liquid.

It's probably something you can only really get away with eating when you're 20 and on the sports teams, though.

it was really yummy, though i hadnt realised it took 3 eggs oh and 1 pint of milk in my recipe, still healthy pudding for the dcs.

big fat crusts i am sure made all the difference.
