Do I need to beat it or something? I never usually cook it

I might just leave it for him to cook. I don't know what i bought - they weren't cheap if that helps - is frying/minute cheap?

A lot cheaper than fillet

A decent amount of fillet steak for four people would probably cost you in the region of £15-20, depending where you bought it.
