is egg mayo a complete no-go for lunchboxes then?

ds2 and i had egg mayo sandwiches for lunch today

have some left so am tempted to use it for ds1's packed lunch for nursery tomorrow

or will the staff all be cursing me...?

i only like egg mayonnaise if fresh with egg still warm hate if it is pout of the fridge

Actually, now I think about it I had an egg mayo sandwich for lunch on the run today -it was from Tesco ...er, I mean a truck-stop, but it wasn't very nice and was too cold.

You can't beat homemade egg mayo with lots of freshly ground black pepper mixed in.

today's was still warm and so the resulting sandwich was a tad gooey

tomorrow's will be chilled and tasteless in comparison
