any suggestions?

Sweet or savoury, I don't mind, just feel like cooking something...

SCones?

Flour, butter and milk, perhaps a bit of sugar.

Or there are recipes with buttermilk, but I am guessing if you don't have eggs, you probably haven't got buttermilk lying around the fridge.

Millionaires shortbread

I think you can use ground linseed in place of eggs but I have never tried it and that assumes you have dried linseed!

Flapjacks?

zippitippitoes · 16/09/2008 18:51

you can use mayoinnaise instead of eggs

norksinmywaistband · 16/09/2008 18:51

Oooh - thanks all. Nope - no linseed, or mayo, or buttermilk.

Shortbread it is!

Hmm. Can you make cheese scones without egg?

you can use egg in scones, but you don't need to. cheese scones would be fine without egg.

squigglywig · 16/09/2008 19:06

In sponges and cakes, you can substitute a spoonful of vinegar for each egg. it does work, I've done it in the past.
