Anyone know how long a chicken will take to defrost?

Just got a 4lb chicken out of the freezer to defrost. It's sitting on a plate on top of the Aga. Will it be ready to go in the oven at 5pm? That would give it 5+ hours to defrost.

I always give mine an overnight in the fridge and then pull out to fully defrost in the morning.

no idea if it would defrost in less than a day.

That's what I meant to do, but forgot last night. Too much wine.

I did that too tho, so DH is gonna have to go buy one ready cooked on his way home today instead
