I made these yesterday and the recipe is seriously lacking in liquid. I had to add another egg, another 10mls oil and about half a cup of milk to get it to be a muffin batter.
So, where did you get the recipe and could you check out the proportions on it please, thankyou

They were lovely in the end but that recipe would have barely made biscuits it was so dry. I shall see if Twig can look it up, cheers.

off by heart

9 oz sr flour
3-5 tbsp cocoa (green and blacks natch .. I do 3 tbsp hugely heaped)
1 tsp bicarb
1/2 tsp salt
1 packet plain chocolate chips (about 3 oz)
6 oz granulated sugar

mix

9 fl oz milk
3 fl oz vegetable oil (sunflower good .. it also says 3 oz melted butter but I don't like that)
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence (not cheap crap .. good crap)

mix

mix together

muffins bake at 180 fan for 20 mins
fairy cake sized bake for 15 mins
