possibly the most random question ever but how can I melt turkish delight?

I make a really delicious turkish delight ice cream but have only ever chopped the bits up really small, and that is a very sticky job. I'd prefer to be able to melt down the cubes so that that I don't have the little lumps in the ice cream.

Any ideas? I'm trying a bain marie thing as I type but so far nothing much is happening to it . Well, I've burnt a tea towel but that was planned!!

How about over a bain marie? Or whizz it up in a blender?

Could you try nuking it in the microwave? Start off doing 10 seconds on high and see what happens?

thanks for the replies

got no microwave [peasant emoticon]

Didn't think of blender. Will try that next time.

I've just taken it off the bain marie and mushed it to death and it's looking a bit more like what I was aiming for - Hopefully it won't congeal in to a big mass during the milk boiling now...
