Slow cooker with hob proof crock?

I have had the oven on all afternoon to make a beef stew, this one and it was delicious BTW, but it did occur to me that I really should have used a slowcooker to save energy.

So, I've been having a look and thought, actually the most useful one would be one where the pot part can go on the hob, for frying the meat to start. Does anyone know if such a thing exists? All in favour of saving washing up here

the saute ones do exist

here

here

and here for example

Personally I don't brown the meat, just chuck it all in, turn it on AT 8.30AM and leave til 5.30ish and end up with a delicious meal where the meat is sooo tender it melts in your mouth and the smell by teatime is gorgous.

my one is similar to this one

Thank you. Hmm I shall have to consider the saving in washing up v the vast difference in price
