use dark choc - or cocoa powder.

sun dried tomato paste - sacla do one in a jar (and sainsbury's own label). Just adds a lovely depth of flavour.

Noticed a new one today, sundried tomato and chilli paste - will try that next time.

Oh and I let it simmer for a couple of hours with a cinnamon stick in there.

The addition of cinnamon is great - I would never have thought of that!

I do a very simple, but also very tasty chilli - infact just made a meat one and a veggie one this morning, to eat tomorrow after work. Chilli always tastes better reheated for some reason.

Brown mince
Add half tsp cinnamon, coriander, cumin
Add 3 crushed cardamon pods
Add a big gulg or two of sweet chilli sauce
Add tin of mixed beans
Add jar of passatta
Add chilli flakes to taste, if required
Cook for 20 minutes
Serve and top with grated cheese, and dollop of sour cream.

Perfect. It is really tasty and so simple. And the sauce is so rich too.
