chicken and mushroom pie recipe please!

I have some left over roast chicken, loads of mushrooms and green veg and thought I'd make a chicken and mushroom pie as is my fave pie ever (an idea for a new thread maybe . But I don't know how! Have some ready made shortcrust pastry (as my DH doesn't like puff pastry much) but don't really know what to do with it.

Any ideas gratefully received!

i stick all the leftovers in a pan and add some stock and half a bottle of wine (use some flour to thicken up)

let this all simmer together for 20 mins or so, utnil the liquid has reduced

then put into a pie dish and let it cool a little before putting the pastry on top

use an egg wash on the pastry and bake in a moderate oven for 30 mins or so (or until pastry is brown)

Thank you it was very very yum! My Dh was v impressed too, had a crap day at work so it made his day!

I used some vermouth as no wine (sob) and a bit of cream.

I had also never used pastry so was pleased that worked. Am quite excited to have a new dish. thanks again
