making jelly for the 1st time in 20 years...do i need to 'grease' the mould?

For some reason i have got it in my head that i need to rub some vegetable oil around the mould before i pour the jelly in..there's nothing to say so on the packet. I don't want it to stick though...DS would be devastated!

although forgot to mention that the only moulds i've got are an earthenware terrine mould (with a nice outline of an onion on top ) and some metal ones, not plastic so no flexibility not sure if that makes a difference.

NO! But to get the jelly out after setting quickly dip the mould into hot water - the very outsid eof the jelly melts very slightly and then you can turn over and out it'll pop! Metal works well as the heat transfers quickly - it is a quick dunk though.
