Recommendations please for a fabulous Tasting Menu in London

My DPs are having the children over-night on a Saturday night in late October / early November.

DH and I would like to go to a fabulous London restaurant with a tasting menu. Can anyone recommend somewhere fabulous?

Maze, Grosvenor Square - food is amazing and you can also have a wine flight so you have a selection that matches your food. Need to book early though.

We were taken to Petrus once and absolutely loved it. We are very tempted to go back this time but are wondering whether we should try somewhere else. Maze looks lovely too.

I realise that some places require booking exactly 2 months in advance which is why I'm looking now.

The food at Maze is really interesting, delicious and proper food - it's not quite the science trip that the Fat Duck is. I want to go again now!

Helene Darroze at The Connaught who has replaced Angela Hartnett in the revamped restaurant has had good write-ups. Haven't been since she took over but the previous restaurant was a bit austere:
