can i freeze pastry short-term?

made way too much making jam & coconut tarts this morning & don't really want to waste it

Yes you can ,I wrap mine in clingfilm, stick it in the freezer then you get it out a few hours before I need it.

Dry pastry mix(before you add the wet ingredients) keeps for ages in the fridge in a tub too.

if you have enough tins, roll out into a pie tin or something then you can use it straight from the freezer

good idea about the tins cranmorefifi but no space left really for tins, am going to struggle as it is but don't want to waste it.
