Crumble topping... Any tips welcome:)

I've just discovered several bits of fruit at the bottom of my fridge looking slightly wrinkley! Can any of you lovely MN'er's provide me with a recipe for crumble topping mix?

225g plain flour
110g butter
75g sugar
Some chopped almonds if you'd like to add some crunch.

Make loads more than you need and freeze the extra. You can use crumble topping straight from frozen.

3oz flour, same of sugar and butter
chopped nuts (whatever you have) are nice and oats too

i have just cheated abd bought mcdougals crumble mix, you just pour it on straight from the bag in my defence we have run out of flour and to buy the floor butter and sugar would have cost more than the crumble mix.

i use an equal amount of flour and sugar and add the butter bit by bit untill you get the right texture

3oz butter
4oz brown sugar
8oz flour
very liberal shakes of cinnamon & nutmeg
Whizz in the food processor, voila.

Add oats, sesame seeds, dessicated coconut.....mmmmmmmm.

dunno hanaflower i didnt check just bought it it tasted okay but not as nice as when i do my own

I get DD to make ours - she's really good at it, not sure why.

Thanks all, my peach crumble went down a treat! Will have to try coconut in my next mixture.

Now need to perfect my custard, used shop bought stuff tonight and it was like wall paper paster .
