Hello

In an attempt to save electricity, be more organised, have dinner earlier etc etc, I have invested in a slow cooker. Does anyone have any recipes for things which work well in one? I make quite a lot of casseroles in winter using the oven, but I fry the meat and veg etc first. Do I still need to do this or can I just bung it all in and leave it? What about chillis and things like that?

Any inspiration gratefully received. Thanks so much.

We use ours alot. You should brown the meat first apparently,to seal it,but have tried recipes without, and haven't noticed much difference.

We cook any casserole, hotpots, curries, even a Steak and Kidney pudding.

I bought my book from a bootsale.
