I was just wondering how much meat I should feed my 10 months old ds. I give him meat about 2-3 times a week, is that enough?

I think 3 times a week is fine. Just give protein in other ways ie cheese

I give DD chicken or beef 4 times a week and other days have cheesy veg etc..

DS is 11 mths
I give him a small portion of protein every day (lunch).
alternate meat/poultry/fish/egg yolk with his vegie puree.
you can also try organic tofu/lentils/quinoa/hard cheese if vegie diet.

PS: from books I read, they need protein EVERY day.

My 11.5 month gets protein every day, but not always meat -- for one thing she nurses every day, and that's protein right there. Often she has cheese or yoghurt or beans for her solid food protein.

Exactly, CG, there's no reason at all that they need meat every day, and at 10 months they should be getting most of their protein from breastmilk or formula anyway.

The thing they need from meat is iron, which of course they can also get from broccoli, spinach, pulses, and so on. Cheese, milk or formula gets them protein.
