Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone had any pearls of wisdom on when to start weaning? I have twins weighing 13lbs 7oz and are 13 weeks old. is this too young to start weaning?

26 weeks is the best time

6 months is best according to guidelines.

13 weeks is too young imho.

At 6 months they may well be able to feed themselves, which with twins might well save a lot of effort, I'd imagine. See www.babyledweaning.com for more information. 13 weeks is too young, I think.

Definately worth waiting until 6 months so the babies systems are mature enough to tolerate the food. Give or take a few weeks !!! My baby is 12 months now, and is able to pretty much eat anything. I always stick to the rule... Dont rush anything!!
good luck
