Loads of vitamin C in them. My ds has them mashed with normal patato and mixed with peas - loads of healthy stuff and not a single complaint.

Oh yorkiegirl sounds delish. But you are going to get me into trouble with DH. I made chick pea burgers last night which he seemed to think was acceptable but a bit bland (agree but will remedy with the aid of some chilli powder I think). But then I was saying they were a faff and how I baked the butternut squash because I couldn't be bothered to peel and steam and he said "so you mean I am eating butternut squash as well?"! Amanda thats just the sort of thing I would feed the children for lunch but just found it a bit dull myself.

We did baked sweet potatoes a couple of nights ago - prick your potatoes with a fork, put on a sheet of tinfoil and add a couple of peeled cloves of garlic. Wrap up into a parcel, bake at 180C for about an hour. Remove from the oven and unwrap, mash the garlic cloves with a spoonful of butter, slice open the potatoes and fill with the butter. Finish with a little salt and pepper and (if you like) a squeeze of lime juice. We served with sweetcorn on the side.
