Hi all, I have a husband who is diabetic but addicted to all things bad for him & i am in need of dropping afew pounds. well about 10lb if i am honest.
We have a 4 year old who will eat most things as long as it doesnt look to complicated, and a 6 month old who is starting to wean, at at the mo will have a good go at pretty much anything.
I am needing a all round recipe book, nothing fancy in terms of recipes e.g dinner party type stuff, just good old healthy meals.
any idea's??
thanks xx

i would say you can't go wrong with delia - complete cookery course has pretty much everything you'd need in it, how to cook is probably easier to find your way round as it is much better laid out.

i actually get lots of ideas from websites - both waitrose and sainsburys websites have great, simple recipes.

i may be wrong as i don't have any of her books (but like the stuff she has in her column in the times), but i think jill dupleix does lot of fairly simple family type meals in her books.

oh and often the recipes on the back of veg or meat packaging in supermarkets has some surprisingly tasty and simple ideas!
