anyone know a good way to do this - have never cooked it at home before and am wondering how the cheese doesnt all come out the sides?

Basically I know its chicken breast, chesses, wrapped with smoky bacon and topped with BBQ - any top tips?

tooth picks
truss it up with toothpicks and seal it well in hot oil in the frying pan

When i do it i wrap 2 slices of bacon around each chicken breast and cook for 15 mins. Then i sprinkle grated cheese over the top and cook for 10 more mins. Whilst that is cooking I heat BBQ sauce in a pan for a few mins, get the chicken out of the oven and pour over the top.

I thought the cheese went under the bacon? god I am thick!

Anyone want to do a step by step guide for me ? Also, what do you serve with?

or you can do it in a sort of stack so you sort of cut the chicken in half like you would a roll and open it out. cook it. then put bacon in the middle, cheese on top and fold it back over and pour sauce over the top.

Do you mean chicken chasseur i.e. hunter's chicken in French? It has mushrooms, tomatoes, wine in it. Favourite in the 1970s when casseroles were the thing for dinner parties, but delicious any decade.

isheisnthe · 07/08/2008 15:23

no, its this dish with a chicken breast, then cheese, then wrapped in bacon with BBQ sauce.....thats what I thought any way?

I've heard of hunter's chicken or beef but they are casseroles iirc.
