Food colouring query........

Have posted in allergies too... how bad colour wise is beta keratine?? my ds cant tolerate aspartame and dont know how bad bk is..............? help please.........

Beta-carotene is found naturally in food (it's what makes carrots orange) so I have no problem with it at all, safety-wise, though I'm not sure about allergic reactions. You can't compare it to aspartame though, as that's a sweetener not a colouring... there's no link between the two at all, as far as I know.
