What's the best way to cook steak?

I have 2 sirloin steaks for tonight.

Do I bash them?

Then should I grill them?

I hardly ever eat steak and I don't want it to be tough. DH likes his quite well done.

if you wipe the oil/butter onto the steak first rather than put it in the pan, there's less smoke.

yes its only rare steak that is banned but if you like your steak blue then it seems such a crime to eat it well done.

still only 23 weeks to go!

my mw said as long as i had it medium rare i could have it.
