sweets for kebabs

I want to make some sweetie sticks for a children's party on the weekend. What are the best sweets to use to thread on to kebab sticks?

Marshmallows would be fun.

fruit like strawberries, oranges and pears. dip the kebabs into melted chocolate. mmm....
