I know this is a complete faf .... but if you've got time I'd be so grateful.

If you go to www.deliaonline.com, recipes, search in more detail and type in:
1 Steak
2 Mushroom
3 Pastry

You arrive at Steak and Mushroom pie. I have to go out later so want to bung it in the oven rather than on the hob, as they suggest. What temperature would you put it on at, and for how long? The oven's fan assisted btw, so according to handbook should be at a lower temperature than those that aren't. TIA!

how long are you going out for? what time do you want it to be ready?

Sorry, sorry, sorry, it's a sainsbury's recipe - delia didn't have it. Miracleabie, ideally steak and mushroom ready for dd2 to try after school 4.00/4.30ish, was going to bung remainder in fridge then heat up with puff pastry on top for dh & I for later.

Hi Carla, I would put it in the oven at 150 degrees for a couple of hours. But with a lid on.Depends on so many things like type of steak and things but if there is plenty of liquid it will cook away nicely for a couple of hours. It will boil dry if no lids or too dry.
