Freezing mushrooms - can this be done?

I bought a load of different mushrooms - chestnut, shitake, oyster, button - to make risotto. Got loads left which I don't want to waste but there's only so much risotto a girl can eat! Can I freeze them (ideally ready chopped) so that I have a ready-to-cook risotto mix in the freezer?
Thanks

Hello

Yes you can but you have to cook them first otherwise they go black.

I would make a mushroomy stock with them and freeze that.

Toady, to keep for risotto, would it work if I just flash-fried them?
