what's a ham hock??? (not sure if that's right)

someone referred to it earlier when i asked what i could buy for a very cheap weeks shopping but not a clue what it is and what i would do with it once i have it if i bought one!

although the price alone makes it tempting but would it feed 3 and how much meat would i get?

boil it.

make into ommelette.add some onion.. some chillies too if you like it spicy

hmmmm, still might give it a go for sarnies since it'll save us a bit on pre-packed stuff that we go through in a matter of a day usually (2 at most) with oh munching through the day.

add it to pasta with some oilve oil, garlic, carrots and onions. chillies nice here too.
