how much sugar should i reduce..

hi there,

i just baked this delicious orange cake but it is too sweet. the recipe calls for 3/4 cups of sugar. if i go down to 1/2 cup, will that be too drastic, or wont make a difference, what do you reckon?

try half a cup, or even a bit less, or use some lemon as well as orange to counter balance the sweetness?
