HELP! potato salad: will potatoes go black if I don't add mayonnaise till tomorrow?

going to picnic tomorrow, and leaving early with a long drive. decided to take potato salad before we thought about the logistics of it. so now am worried that we shouldn't add mayonnaise tonight as if the salad gets warm on the way there tomorrow it would go all yucky. OTOH, could take mayonnaise in a jar and add just before we arrive, but would the potatoes go black if we leave them undressed in fridge overnight?

potatoes already cooked. what should I do?

Hello! Don't worry, potatoes will be fine in fridge overnight. I do it all the time and (touch wood) no black potatoes yet! Yummy with some chopped spring onions too....

Let them cool, seal in airtight container and put in fridge. They won't go black if they are cooked.
