is there any reason in the known universe that I can't give this child peanuts?

dd2 is 3.5

she has mild eczema dh has asthma

she does not seem to be allergic to peanuts as dh fed her some crunchy nut cornflakes once by accident

I can't remember what the advice is and I am idle and I keep just putting it off

can I give her peanuts or not? she will not choke - she eats cashews

Personally I would check with your health visitor or doctor...

My dh had eczema as a child quite bad and has a walnut, pecan and brazil nut intolerance/ allergy (not life threatening). My dd has eczema. I was advised by my health visitor before having dd to hold off giving nuts till at least 3 or even 5 years.

My dd will be 3 years soon so will be checking it out myself at some point.. so thanks for the reminder...lol

you do not give peanuts until they are over 5 because they are a choking hazard.

Giving her peanut products I would think would be fine, just watch for reactions the first 2 or 3 times. If someone is allergic each time the reaction generally gets progressively worse.
