Can anyone recommend a smallish coffee machine please?

My mum has decided she needs to drink more proper coffee at home (instead of Waitrose coffee shop twice a day) so is after some recommendations please. Nothing huge, nothing a hassle to clean, one of those cassette/cartidge ones might do but not sure which brand is the VHS or the Beta-max.
Any advice gratefully received as I am unable to help being a philistine nescafe drinker.

We bought one of these because it was cheap (we got it for £19 at Morrisons), fully expecting it to be crap and to have to upgrade to a better one, but it's great, the hotplate keeps the coffee really warm for ages (so good for one person) and the filter thing is dead easy to empty/clean, it just rinses out in seconds. And it makes decent coffee - lots of people have commented on it.
