Calling all Devon Mumsnetters - I need a good Farm shop in South Hams area please!

I am going shopping tomorrow, have my list for the week and want to buy as little as possible from a supermarket.

I need recommendations please for a farm shop that does good, tasty and affordable food, that will beat the supermarkets in price and quality.

I am buying chicken, eggs and vegetables.

I have brown hair, and clear plastic glasses, with a silver thread through them (GA written on side). My hair is likely to be scruffy tied back as already described so will be just shy of shoulder length. Will most likely be wearing jeans or brown cords and flip flops. if it is nice weather a short-sleeved top with a tattoo around my left arm.

I will have with me a petite girl of 2 (just) who loves to run so might be fighting to get out of her pushchair, or might even be out of it. She is likely to be either standing up, or trying to stand up in it! She has blonde hair, blue eyes.

We might be siging, or laughing, or me making a fool of myself somehow with her!

Go on, I dare you!

Sigh I miss my Riverford days

If you go out of Bovey towards Dartmoor,turning left at the fork you pass a sign for a farm shop that I have had repeatedly recommended to me. It's cheaper,not all organic I think. I haven't been yet as currently going through a Lidl/Aldi stage as broke but am going to sniff it out and see if I could get a few things from there.

Failing that there is Occombe Farm near Paignton(got some good stuff for kids to do). Have bought meat from there that was good and reasonable. The rest isn't cheap though but they have meat on offer at times eg big packs of bacon etc. Riverford does do meat on offer at times too but sadly we can't even afford that at the mo.

I hope all the good work Guy Watson has done doesn't go down the pan have heard of loads of people cancelling veg boxes recently(us included)

We went to a good PYO farm near Stokeinteignhead off the Penn Inn roundabout. 2 punnets of strawberries and logans and clotted cream for £5!!!!!!!!
