These are good, but don't need biscuit cutters - does that matter?

1 packet butter
6oz castor sugar
11oz self-raising flour
2 packets milk chocolate chips (or any really!)

Cream butter and sugar together until white and fluffy.
Fold in flour.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Use hands to mould dough into balls, put on baking tray and flatten slightly. They will spread, so leave space between them. Make as big or small as you like!
180C / 350F / Gas 4.
Bake approx 15 minutes until lightly browned.
Wait a couple of minutes for them to cool slightly before transferring to cooling rack to prevent them breaking, but move before totally cool.

These are yummy. Recipe courtesy of my childminder

This is a good simple one that ds made the other day at a friend's house that I know have the recipe by heart. Doesn't need cutters though. The recipe uses smarties but you could always replace them with chocolate chips or raisins instead.

150g self raising flour
100g butter
100g muscovada sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
75g chocolate chips

Cream the butter and sugar, add the syrup and mix in the flour then stir in the chocolate chips.

Roll a teaspoon of mixture in your hands and press gently onto a lined baking tray. Bake at gas 4 for 12 minutes. Makes 16 I think.
