I cooked a beef joint for the first time today...

...and apparently it tasted fab

I dont do roasts normally as it tends to be just DH and DD eating as I don't eat meat. Abd then when we have people round I chicken out and either do chicken, duck or steaks, or other dishes.

But went for it today and did a nice big rib fof beef. And it turned out well, nice and medium, a bit pink in middle as DD likes it. DH and my parents all found it lovely too.

Phew - another one to add to the list when people visit.

It's dd. I love cooking and have cooked tons of dishes but roasts are somethign I have avoid, Need to have a go with lamb and pork roasts nex I guess.

Rib of beef is the best cut. Yum, I wish someone cooked that for me today.

I did the full roast chicken thingy.
Made a chocolate cake.
Did the ironning.
Made pancakes for breakfast.
Cut families hair.
Admired new dishwasher, fridge, freezer.
Love Sundays.

6yo DD made dessert - big chocolate cornflake cake with fresh raspberries mixed in, decorated with more raspberries and food glitter

Only thing with the beef is that I could probably have done with cooking it for about 10 minutes less perhaps so middle was a bit more oink, as DD does prefer her meat a bit more rare. Was perfect for \DD and my arents though.
