butterscotch cake recipe pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease

me and ds made a cake yesterday and he really enjoyed it so would like to try another one today. i fancy butterscotch (used all the choc up yesterday which would usually be my first choice)

250g soft butter
1cup soft brown/demerera sugar
5ml (1 tsp) vanilla essence
2 Large eggs, separated
15ml ( 1 Tbsp) golden syrup
1 1/2 c self-raising flour
2ml (1/2 tsp) cinnamon
3/4 c milk

Icing
60g butter
1/2 cup soft brown/demerera sugar
60 mml (1/4c) milk
200ml (3/4c) icing sugar

Preheat oven to 160 degrees C
Lightly grease and flour a 20cm cake tin
Cream butter and sugar until light, beat in vanilla, egg yolks and syrup
Fold in sifted flour and cinnamon with milk
Whip the egg whites until soft peaks form and fold gently into mixture.
Pour into cake tin and bake for 50 mins or until cooked (skewer comes out clean)
Turn out on wire rack to cool

Icing:

In a small pot melt butter, add sugar (soft brown) and heat gently until sugar dissolves.
Remove from the heat, blend in the milk.
Bring to the boil and then allow to cool.
Beat in the sifted icing sugar and spread over surface of the cake
