yes it will freeze fine

will re-heat ok in mocrowave but I'd pop it under the grill to crisp up after the microwave.

Bit of mustard powder livens it up, or baco bits, or chopped up bacon, mix of broccoli and cauliflower also nice, diced up peparoni or salami or ham good, a dash of worcestershire sauce and tabasco sauce in the cheese sauce, a variety of cheeses, blue cheese is nice if you like it....

WeeBesom · 04/07/2008 12:23

Add some little bits of cooked bacon?

WilllamGray · 04/07/2008 12:24

IME cauli cheese freezes OK but I have never heated it up in the microwave, always defrosted it in the fridge then warmed up in the oven

pesto dribbled over the top is nice

WTF are DoodleBops???

MascaraOHara · 04/07/2008 12:24

ooooh, pepperoni.. there's a thought.. could add some chorizo and chicken or something

thanks..

it doesn't inspire me either, I never make the stuff.

You could also mix brreadcrumbs with grated cheese and add it on top and crisp it up under grill to =make it a bit more interesting.

mrsmalumbas · 04/07/2008 12:25

Cali cheese is yummny when made with a really rich cheddary suace and then topped with grated cheese, bits of chopped up cooked bacon, breadcrumnbs and cooked in the oven until brown. Not sure about freezing it though.

OverMyDeadBody · 04/07/2008 12:29

mrsmalumbas it will freeze fine, but could leave the topping till after it is defrosted, then add the topping and whip under the grill for ten minutes to go bubbly and crsipy.

Am liking the crisps suggestion.

Carmenere · 04/07/2008 12:30

Curry it.

sagitta · 04/07/2008 12:32

Try Cauli Soup, or caul cheese soup. Freezes well.

Roast cauliflower is good - much nicer than it sounds (I'm not normally a cauli fan either!)

Break it into florets and put it into a roasting tin (raw), season with salt, black pepper, cumin and (if you like spice) either chilli powder or cayenne pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and roast in a hot oven for about 20 mins till nicely charred and cooked through. I sometimes add a coarsely chopped onion as well.

OOOO BIWI.. mist try that.. would be good diet food too
