This is the thread for me - my MIL has just bought us our 4th 5kg tub!!! Yes, 5kg - it's like some funny, novelty gift from Italy! How much does she think we can put away??

MaryAnnSingleton · 30/06/2008 22:32

We had two Italian kids to stay last summer and they ate the stuff with spoons every night straight from the jar. Also washed it down with coca cola, then wondered why they couldn't get to sleep!!!

I love nutella... DH and DS are addicted to the stuff.. I have to hide it from them...

saying that I did make some cupcakes ages ago with nutella Icing.. which was basically jsut nutella with a bit of cream... I think I got one... they ate all the rest on me..

mmmmmmmmmm

You used to be able to buy it in individual plastic pots that you could just lick it out of (although it came with a little plastic spoon). I miss those.

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/07/2008 11:17

mm, those'd be very handy ! I have a fine collection of drinking glasses, courtesy of Nutella

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/07/2008 11:50

OP posts:

Nigellapleasecomedinewithme · 01/07/2008 13:13

Nigella does a lovely chocolate cake with a Nutella topping - plus has extra nuts too. See TDG book.

Love2bake · 01/07/2008 13:18

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/07/2008 13:39

It's even recommended by weight-watchers! My friend went to a meeting once and they were talking about treats, they gave out this fab recipe for making your own Ferrero Roche for a treat - Blitz some ryvita in your food processor, not too much, you could just break it up yourself by hand, mix with 'a few teaspoons' of nutella! However, I don't think polishing off rest of jar with a spoon, was what they had in mind! Which is what my lovely friend did - hilarious!

gerbo · 07/07/2008 14:21

Ok MNetters - Nutella is yum, but do you give it to your babies/toddlers?!?!

shinyshoes · 07/07/2008 15:07

I don't like chocolate
