How long should I keep a cooked chicken

I cooked a roast chicken on Tuesday evening.

I'm usually really good a using it up for sarnies and then soup, but for some reason this week it got forgotten and there's still quite a bit of meat left on it.

Can I use the meat up cold for lunch today and make the soup this afternoon, or have I left it too long and should chuck it?

I'd use it if it isn't all dried up and if it smells ok

Does it smell?

I think I would be happy to keep it for up to a week, as long as it was stored hygenically at each stage. If it went on more than a few days, I would only use it if I could make sure that it got piping hot, eg in a curry or pie.

Tip ladies. If you take meat off the bone, it lasts longer in the fridge than if you leave it on the bone.
4 day old chicken kept in fridge - fine.
