I got the classic in white (i think thats the only colour it comes in).

It came today was so excited. I made a Victoria sponge, and was seriously the BEST one I have ever made.

I had some friends round for bookclub tonight and they were very impressed!!

I want one of these so badly but I'm not sure I'm willing to pay that much, I'm pretty new to baking, though already addicted, it's like therapy for me.

Is it really that amazing, please say no as this isn't looking good for my bank account, particuarly as I'm going to be a poor student soon.

Falcon - sorry, but yes it really is that good. I ordered mine last week from Amazon and it was £149.99, so keep you eye on it, as Amazon are always changing the prices on things.

TBH £149-179 is a bargain for that mixer, although I know it's still alot of money.

If you have the pasta making attachment you must make fresh pasta. Doves Farm pasta flour, egg and water - better than any so-called "fresh" pasta you can buy in the shops.

ScotsLass - Sounds good, but I don't have one of those machine that makes the pasta shapes. Would I be able to do that by hand?

You could do - just make the dough in your Kitchen Aid and then cut into linguine, lasagne sheets, etc. But if you see the pasta making attachment at a good price, I'd snap it up!

Love2bake, I think I'll have to get one then

I fell in love with it while watching Videojug recipes, though they use the artinsan in red not the classic.

My I-Pod can wait, I have bread and cakes to bake.

That should be Artisan.
