what are you mixing the mascapone with

my top tip is to used carton ambrosia and mix that with the mascapone, it has a fantastic consistency and really hold together well.

hmmm... about time I made some I think

If you have horrid lumps best get the electric beaters to it for a minute

RTKangaMummy · 28/01/2005 13:42

double cream mixed with mascapone

and layers of custard

like stripes

soak sponge fingers in very very strong coffee

Tommy · 28/01/2005 16:48

I have a "cheats" version which is really easy - we call it tirami-psuedo

JJ · 28/01/2005 16:51

I put anything lumpy like that (my custard springs to mind) through a sieve and presto! No lumps. You'll have to smoosh the mixture through with a wooden spoon, though. And you have another thing to wash....

RTKangaMummy · 28/01/2005 17:11

DH uses tin custard

or now you can buy a litre in carton
