Romany Creams:

2 1/2 c oats
2 1/2 c flour
salt
1 1/2 c dessicated coconut
2 c sugar
250g marg/butter
2 eggs - beaten
25ml golden syrup
7ml bicarb of soda
25ml cocoa
25ml boiling water

Combine oats, flour, coconut, sugar and rub in marg/butter
Stir in eggs
Dissolve bicarb in boiling water, add syrup and cocoa
Stir well and add to dry ingredients with the pinch of salt
Dough should be stiff
Roll into balls and flatten
Bake @ 190 degrees C for 12 mins
When cool, sandwich tog with melted chocolate/nutella

Makes a shedload of biscuits...

These are yummy and good for doing with children

Simple Jammy Biscuits
(makes 12 big ones or 18-20 little ones)

200g self-raising flour
100g butter
100g castor sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
jam

1.Heat oven to 180C
2.Rub in flour and butter and add sugar
3.Add enough egg to make a stiff dough (I used all of it)
4.Roll dough into a tube shape (about 5cm for big biscuits) and cut into 1cm slices
5.Make small indentation in the middle of each biscuit and put in a little jam
6.Bake 10-15mins (I did 10mins, turned round, then another 3mins for big biscuits) For small ones I did 8mins, turned then 3 mins
7.Cool and eat!
