Alternative to a bread knife for slicing bread?

We make our own bread in a breadmaker, and so the loaves turn out an awkward shape for accurate slicing. I want to have a stock of sliced bread in the freezer. Anyone know of a gadget that might help me slice our loaves accurately?

You need an automatic cutter - we bought one quite cheaply from Argos - they are designed to cut ham and things but because they have a press - ie you jam the bread between the two ends and then cut - it compresses the bread enough to slice it without ending up with it collapsing.

Oh and I'm crap at making uniform loaves as well but I'm told Lakeland Flour improver is the key.
