Hi. I am going to make a basket of scones for both teachers in DD class when she finishes for the summer next friday.

I need a really good receipe to make them please. A friend suggested using this packet stuff you get in the supermarket?

Don't use the packet stuff ,the bbc food website is a good place to start .

Lemonade Scones

This is a really easy recipe, as it uses cream instead of butter, so you don't have to rub butter into flour, and the lemonade makes them very light and fluffy.

It's a NZ recipe, so it's sc'ons.

so when you rub the butter and flour together is this what makes them doughy if not rubbed properly?
