Veggie slowcooker meals

I haven't used my slowcooker for a while and think it's time to dust if off again.

Does anybody have any tried and tested ideas for veggie things that i can cook in there?

In the past I've done - lentil casserole, lentil chilli, lentil soup (do you spot a theme here?) - so something without lentils could be good!

Anybody? I am so bored of the bloomin' football and I haven't got a book to read and I need Mumsnet to stop me from turning to drink in desperation!

bumping for you. We use our slowcooker loads, but always for meat. We are total carnivores, but would like to have some vegetarian ideas to give us a change...

Lol - social life? I remember it - but I've not seen it for a long time....maybe I should check down the side of the sofa?!

Sad thing is, these days i actually quite enjoy a Saturday night in every now and then. So, no-one's come back with a good veggie slowcooker recipe. Will bump again tomorrow if no-one comes back tonight.

Does nobody have any ideas? Am I destined to slow cooker limbo?

We do a sort of beany/ratatouille sort of thing. Tin of baked beans or flageolet beans (baked beans make it nice and BBQy!), chopped peppers, sometimes a tin of ratatouille, onion & garlic, tin of chopped tomatoes.... and a bit of brown sauce. I also add Puy lentils but sure you could leave them out if you're bored with them.

Thanks Tinkjon. Any more?

you could do a seach and find my chickpea curry recipe. I'm sure that would work fine in a slow cooker. Can't locate it at the moment - sorry!

Ooh, ooh, just remembered another one! The thing which gives it the delicious flavour is chorizo, so obviously that's out for you, but I'm sure it would still be nice without it. Onions and garlic, tin of tomatoes, paprika, flageolet beans and some potatoes. Makes a lovely hearty stew.

Chickpea curry recipe I have; I'd forgotten I'd done that too - although a made up recipe probably, rather than a specific one.

Can I do anything that doesn't involve a tin of tomatoes? Virtually everything I cook seems to involve tomatoes and I'm not even that fond of them!
