do you think my chicken will survive another night?

I put some chicken pieces in a plastic bag with the contents of a jar of barbeque marinade last night, now dh has told me he's had a big lunch and doesn't want any dinner and I'm not really hungry either. Do you think it'll survive another night marinading or will it be rank tomorrow? It was well within it's use by date when I put it in the marinade.

As long as it is and has been in the fridge and was within its date it shoudl be fine

it is in date and it's been in the fridge all the time. I just wondered about the effect of marinading for two days.

Should just taste a bit strong I think. Marinade starts the cooking process so you might find the outside looks a bit white, that is just the acid (lemon juice/vinegar, whatever) starting to 'cook' the meat
