Anyone have an easy kid friendly hummus recipe?

I'm trying to think of healthful meals DD can take for school lunch that don't need to be kept hot. Was thinking some hummus for dipping with carrot sticks and pita bread.

Any other ideas also welcome. But, when I say healthful, I mean HEALTHFUL. No white bread. Prefer it to have some kind of veg in it, if possible, but this isn't strictly required every day. For example a butter and jam sandwich on white bread would not do. Cheese and jam on soya and linseed bread would be fine.

Basically, DD and nanny are both tired of lugging the big thermos, especially now that DS has broken his pram and nanny has to hold his hand.

What is tuna, sweet cord, and grated carrot salad? Anything else in it? Sounds good.

If you are still after an easy hummous recipe -

Blitz together a tin of chickpeas with 1 Tblsp of the chickpea liquid from the tin, a couple of Tblspoons of olive oil, and juice from a small lemon. Add a bit more olive oil if necessary to get right consistency. Can also add a bit of cumin or paprika for a slightly spicy flavour

That sounds yummy (and easy). Thanks.

Umm, well, I just grate some carrot, mix it with some tinned sweetcorn and tuna. You can either have a mayonnaisey dressing, or a vinagrette. If LO likes lettuce, mix some in as well, a crisp one like romaine or little gem is nice for texture. It's not a recipe as such, more of a serving combination!

Re hummus - have added bit of red pepper to basic recipe to make it a little sweeter.
