Ham.....

When you buy sliced ham in a packet, it usually has a use within 2 days once opened. I often keep it for 3 or 4 days, but how long do you think it would keep. The sliced ham for sandwiches usually comes in quite big quantities and I am only making packed lunches for my daughter.

I use it over up to 4 days. But if you're using so little, why not buy slices from the deli counter?

I think that is is probably so packed with preservatives that it will last through a nuclear winter.

Probably wouldn't risk eating it after a week or so though

You can get it in small packets too - 10 slices. I'm not sure if you're supposed to or not, but I freeze it - I make a big batch of sarnies for lunchbox and then freeze them then defrost the night before.

Doesn't it depend on whether or not it's nice ham??
